I bet you were wondering when I was going to visit good ol’ McDonald’s? Well, I finally did, and I’m glad I waited so long because they just came out with an amazing Crispy Chicken Sandwich and some frozen beverages.

The food was absolutely incredible during this visit. I must mention that I went to the one on North Main, which is the one closest to Siena Heights University. I ordered the Crispy Chicken Sandwich meal with their new Frozen Coke. I also ordered an Iced Caramel Macchiato and a Blueberry Muffin.

The person who came with me ordered the Big Mac Meal with their new Frozen Cherry Beverage. He asked for no pickles and no onions. I loved every part of my meal, and so did he. The fries were hot and crisp, the new Crispy Chicken Sandwich was great and the drinks were so refreshing.

The total only came to just under $20 because I had a coupon that took $5 off (there is more to that story below). I suggest downloading the McDonald’s app if you decide to visit because they often have many great deals!

The wait-time was better than many of the other drive-thrus I have reviewed recently. I only waited about 12-13 minutes from the time I pulled into the line to the time I left with my food.

When it comes to COVID-19 precautions, I noticed that the four employees I could see all had masks on and they were all wearing them properly. I am impressed and relieved that so far among this Drive-Thru Review journey, I have not yet seen an employee wearing their mask below their nose.

The overall rating would have been closer to a 10 had the manager not been rude to us. When I visit McDonald’s, I like to pull out the app to see if there are any deals/coupons I can use to save some money. I found one that takes $5 when you spend $20 or more (before tax). Before adding the Blueberry Muffin, I was just under $20, so when I added it, I was at about $22 and some change.

The coupon was not working for some reason, so the employee had to ask for a manager. The manager must not have been having a good day, because she was being rude to both me and her employee. The reason I gave the 5/10 instead of a lower number for service is because the employees at both the first and second windows were so sweet.

Overall, I will definitely be returning to eat another Crispy Chicken Sandwich and Frozen Coke! I definitely recommend you try these new items from McDonald’s if they sound like something you’d like.
