Saints Football Has Record-Setting Day in 63-2 Blowout Win
On Sept. 28, the Siena Heights football team had their best game yet and put up 63 points on the scoreboard against Trinity International.
Trinity seem to be giving effort but it simply could not keep up with the big dogs. The Trojans scored a safety in the fourth quarter. Nothing seem to be working for them and they had two quarterbacks go down in the first half.
A sophomore running back from Columbus, Ohio, named Kaleb Jefferson broke the record for the longest touchdown run in Siena Heights history. Early in the first quarter on first-and-10 Jefferson got the ball, followed his blockers and took it in for a record breaking 95-yard touchdown. He also had three touchdowns and 198 yards to end the day. Jefferson also got the conference offensive player of the week.
The Saints also had another young player named ShaMarr Simmons, who is a freshman who got special teams players of the week. The Maple Heights, Ohio, native ending the evening with an impressive five solo tackles.
The Saints will travel to Ann Arbor to take on the Concordia Cardinals Oct. 5.
