Thriving on a Low Budget: Discounts in Town for College Students
It’s hard to keep a stable income while enrolled in college classes, but luckily there are discounts and coupons offered at multiple establishments in Adrian to help students through their academic career. Siena Heights offers learners their own Saints Discount Card, which is applicable to 11 popular businesses in town. Altogether there is a discount for 10% off Dunham’s non-sale purchases, 10% off merchandise at Gear Up Adrian, 5% off room rental at the Carlton Lodge, 10% off regular priced items at Jr.’s Bar and Grill, 10% off a minimum of $3 purchase at Mcdonald’s, 5% off installed wheels or tires at Discount Tire, 10% in store discount at the Siena Heights Bookstore, 10% off Subway sandwiches, 10% off Walmart general merchandise, 10% off Fricker’s meals, and $1 off a drink with a purchase of a whole hoagie at Hoagie Man Deli. The cost is just $15 for students and comes with a free T-shirt. In order to purchase, students must visit http://sienaheights.edu/LandingPages/SHUCrew.aspx and fill out the online application which will be directed through the Spencer Athletic Complex main office. There are other places in Adrian that offer discounts to students not only through Siena as well. The Centre offers $5 off monthly memberships, The Croswell gives students the same price of tickets as youth admission, the YMCA offers $16 monthly payments for full-timers, and for the entire month of September, Chipotle is giving away one free drink with a purchase of a meal. Siena Heights University and the town of Adrian have college kids’ backs (and wallets) covered.
