Women’s Basketball @ Madonna, 83-72 L
The Siena Heights women’s basketball team let a close game against Madonna slip away in the fourth quarter, where they were outscored 25-18 in route to their 83-72 loss. Field goal percentage was the difference, as Madonna shot 10 percent better than the Saints from the field. Jaaliyah Arrington led the Saints with 23 points in the loss.
Men’s Basketball @ Madonna, 74-60 L
Just like the women’s team, a cold shooting night prevented the men’s basketball team from pulling out a conference win at Madonna. The Saints shot 35.6 percent from the field compared to 46.3 percent for Madonna. The Saints were led by Jerrell Martin with 12 points and eight rebounds.
Men’s Volleyball @ Lourdes (Ohio), 3-1 L
The Saints were unable to keep up with No. 8 Lourdes in a 3-1 loss by final set scores of 16-25, 25-22, 12-25 and 10-25. Tyler Hubbard-Neil led the Saints with 13 kills, five digs, and three blocks in the loss.

Men’s Lacrosse @ Central Michigan, 15-5 W
In their season opener, the men’s lacrosse team took care of business in Mt. Pleasant, defeating the Central Michigan Chippewas by a final score of 15-5. The Saints were led offensively by Shane Lewandowski and Nate Woods with four goals apiece, while defensively goaltender Tyler Hooper stopped nine shots in 60 minutes of action.

Cheerleading @ Siena Heights Invite, 2nd of 4
In the third annual Siena Heights Saints Spectacular invite, the cheerleading team placed second of four teams with a total score of 75.95 points, less than 10 points behind Concordia who won the event with a final score of 84.9. Lourdes finished third with 71.8 and Aquinas came in last at 69.6.
Women’s Track & Field @ WHAC Indoor Championships, 2nd of 6
The women’s track and field team took second place behind Indiana Tech at the WHAC Indoor Championships in Grand Rapids. The Saints had five first-place performances in the meet: Stephanie Marquardt (60m hurdles, 8.55 seconds), Phoenix Duncan (high jump, 1.68m), Kasey Renshaw (shot put, 14.42m), Renshaw (weight throw, 20.79m), and Mildrenae Young-Brooks (triple jump, 38 feet, 0.75 inches).
Men’s Track & Field @ WHAC Indoor Championships, 2nd of 6
The men’s track & field team took second place behind Indiana Tech at the WHAC Indoor Championships in Grand Rapids. The Saints had three first place performances in the meet: Richard DePalma (pole vault, 5.11m), Logan Grey (shotput, 16.24m), and Dominic Muessig (800m run, 1:54.57).
Women’s Bowling @ Hoosier Classic, 41st of 66
The women’s bowling team placed 41st of 66 teams at the Hoosier Classic in Indianapolis, Ind., widely regarded as the most prestigious college bowling tournament of the regular season. The Saints finished with a total team score of 7,483 and were led by Amanda Barry who placed 114th individually with a 1,529 (169.89 average) nine-game total. Myriah Hamilton had the top average for the Saints, averaging 179.29 over the course of seven games.
Men’s Bowling @ Hoosier Classic 48th of 78
The men’s bowling team placed 48th out of 78 teams at the Hoosier Classic in Indianapolis, Ind., widely regarded as the most prestigious college bowling tournament of the regular season. The Saints finished with a total team score of 8,092 and were led by Steven Cadwell who placed 80th individually with a 1,712 (190.22 average) nine-game total. Kenneth DeGraaf had the top average for the Saints, averaging 192.0 over the course of six games.
Men’s Basketball @ Lourdes (Ohio), 68-65 W
The men’s basketball team pulled out a close win on the road against Lourdes (Ohio), winning 68-65 thanks to a lay-up by Christopher Pearl with 13-seconds remaining in the game to give the Saints a 66-65 lead and eventual win. Pearl led the team with 20 points in the win.
Women’s Basketball @ Lourdes (Ohio) 65-50 W
The women’s basketball team finished off the regular season with a convincing 65-50 win on the road against Lourdes (Ohio) to finish with a 19-11 overall record, 13-9 in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference. Laura Wirth led the Saints with 16 points and six rebounds in the win.
Men’s Volleyball vs. Cardinal Stritch (Wis.), 3-2 L
The men’s volleyball team dropped a tightly contested match with Cardinal Stritch (Wis.) by final set-scores of 25-23, 26-14, 21-25, 13-25, and 10-15. After having a 2-0 advantage, the Saints couldn’t hold on, ultimately falling 3-2. The Saints were led by Tyler Hubbard-Neil with 16 kills, 11 digs, and two aces in the loss.
Men’s Volleyball vs. Robert Morris (Ill.), 3-1 L
The men’s volleyball team didn’t fare much better in their second match of the day, losing to Robert Morris (Ill.) 3-1 by set scores of 19-25, 26-24, 18-25 and 12-25. Matthew Dugan led the team in kills with 13, while John Kalugar chipped in with 17 digs. The back-to-back non-conference losses dropped the Saints to a 7-6 record on the season.
