Sibs and Kids Weekend Approaching
The kids get a chance to spend time with their favorite Siena student and get to experience what it is like to be a college student for a few days during Sibs & Kids Weekend! It is fun for all ages 3-17. They get to stay on campus with the students as well as get to have non-stop fun all weekend. This year’s event will be from March 18-20.
The offices of Student Activities, Residence Life and Public Safety are working together to make this weekend a wonderful experience for all children while maintaining safety on campus, according to Student Engagement graduate assistant Savannah Haig.
“The theme this year is superheroes,” said Haig. “We will have activities such as a cupcake bar, a magician, laser tag, caricatures, arts and crafts, movie night, pizza party, and candy bar bingo, video game tournaments and more! You’ll have to sign up for the full list.”
She said the best part of being involved is “when the kids get here and have an awesome time. We work really hard to make sure they have the best weekend ever so seeing them leave with a smile on their face makes everything worth it.”
“This is my second year taking a lead role in planning and implementing this weekend, but I have taken part in the activities for four years,” she added.
Registration is available for Sibs and Kids Weekend. Students who have any questions can contact Director of Residence Life and Student Conduct Administrator Rachel Rickinger at [email protected] or 264-7172.
