Meet Dan Ouellette, New CIS Faculty Member
This fall Siena Heights University welcomed Dan Ouellette, the new Computer Information Systems faculty member and program coordinator.
Over the past semester, he said he is revamping the program and will be offering new classes.
“I love helping students understand the software,” said Ouellette.
Besides teaching at SHU, Ouellette has taught at Michigan-Flint, Eastern Michigan, Washtenaw Community College and Wayne State. At Wayne State, he has also started a PhD computer science program this semester.
Some fun facts about Ouellette: He graduated from the University of Michigan, and both of daughters followed his footsteps. His son is at Michigan State and he said he is very proud of all of them. He enjoys playing basketball, and even plays for a team in Saline on Tuesday nights. Other than basketball Ouellette likes to read about American history. He also has developed a phone app.
