What made you want to be a part of Track and Field at SHU?

“I liked the people here and the coaching I really liked. Just a good fit in general.”

Have you ever wondered what it’d be like to play a different sport at the college level? What sport would you want to try?

“Yes I have. Basketball because it’s less running and less conditioning. It was fun and I miss it.”

One of your biggest hobbies when you’re not involved with Track?

“Riding horses. I work at a farm and I teach kids how to ride.”

Why Sport Management as a major as opposed to Philosophy or Mathematics?

“I like how it’s more hands on and I can certainly see myself enjoying it later on in life. I’m not sure what I want to do with it yet. I see myself running like a sports complex.”

Favorite old or new tv show right now and why?

“New Girl most definitely. It’s just funny and you really don’t have to think about it.”

Would you consider yourself a social butterfly or more of a go-as-the-day-arrives person?

“I would say social person. I definitely like talking to people.”

Seeing as how you told me you’re an avid runner, which I think is ridiculous in winter, how many miles do you think you run a week?

“I’d say probably 20 or so miles a week. Not sure if I’m low-balling it or not.

What are your plans for post college up to this point?

“I would like to join the Peace Corps and move out of state. If that doesn’t happen I’d like to go to graduate school and just move out of state for a couple of years.”

If you had to be any animal in the jungle, what would you be and why?

“Ummm. I’d like to be.. this is a hard one. A parrot because they’re pretty. They can also fly, which is really important.”
