Why Siena Heights?

-I came here to play lacrosse. I also like the community and class sizes. Everyone is really nice.

What in the world made you want to play lacrosse in college?

-It helps me for school, and it keeps me busy and focused. It’s like a family almost, really tight-knit.

Why major in Special Education as opposed to anything else SHU offers?

-My mom teaches special needs children, but I’ve always been really involved in helping people with disabilities. I’m also involved in a variety of special education services.

Game is tied and they need you to score the winning point. What’s going through your mind in that moment?

-Obviously I want to destroy somebody and win the game for our team. I hate losing.

You’re stranded in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean in a boat with your cellphone, an oar, and a harpoon gun. What do you do?

-I would obviously try to swim and find food if I could. I’d be nervous and scared of what would happen.

Since you’re not 21 yet but obviously still have to have a bit of excitement in your life, what do you do to pass the time between homework and semesters?

-I’m in SAFE, and I go to the Motherhouse weekly to have dinner and volunteer with the Sisters. I also go to the public schools and help volunteer.

What’s the overall outlook for the team this season? Any personal goals to add?

-Right now, we’re battling a lot of injuries. We have some new additions to the team, and we’re looking good at practice. Personally, I’d like to be a big contributor for the team and lead in assists. I’d also like to be the MVP offensively.

What’s the plan after college?

-I want to teach Special Education hopefully down south. I’d also like to be a coach for Special Olympics or lacrosse.
