The decision to pursue a graduate education is one that will open many doors for you. Because you will become an expert in your field of study, obtaining an advance degree means great responsibility, increased salaries, and the momentum to embark on a journey in the ever-changing realm of research and post-baccalaureate instruction. You continue to gain knowledge, develop critical thinking and problem solving skills and have more opportunity to interface with the best in your filed. If your personal and professional goals include those objectives, the decision to pursue a doctoral degree is the right one. The McNair Scholars Program at Siena Heights University is designed to help prepare you for graduate school and to help you realize your dreams.

Are you eligible?
Students must fit into one of two categories to be considered eligible:
) You are a member of a group underrepresented in graduate education, OR
) You are from a first-generation (neither parent has a 4 year degree) & low income family

In addition, students must fit the following criteria:
Have completed 55 hours/ be of sophomore status before entering the program
Be a full time student
Be a United States citizen
Have a 3.0 GPA
Be willing to commit to pursue a graduate degree
